Reservations Are Required for All Events.

The Newport Dinner Train offers many unique and memorable events in keeping with the "ultimate dining experience" aboard authentic moving Pullman Dining Cars.  To ensure a reservation on your desired date, we encourage you to plan ahead and call to reserve at least two weeks in advance.

You may use our on-line Event Reservation Request Form or call our office at the toll-free number listed below.  Please be aware that a reservation request by email or through our on-line request forms, does not confirm a reservation.  For your protection, final confirmation is only by telephone with a credit card number.  You may also request Gift Certificates on-line.  Please use our convenient Gift Certificate Request Form.

• All event prices listed above are subject to Rhode Island State Tax.

• Gratuity on meal service to be paid to server on day of event.

• Parties of 6 or more - gratuity is generally included at time of reservation.

• We are pleased that at this time all Dinner train events will NOT be subject to a fuel surcharge due to recent regulation of fuel prices. In the event that once again prices surge, we will be forced to reactivate the surcharge in order to maintain our service standards. Thank you for your understanding.

Dinner Train Capacity.
The Dinner Train has a maximum capacity of 192.  Each of the original dining cars seats 72 guests while the Cabaret Parlour Car with its more relaxed ambiance, seats 48 guests.  Seating is also categorized by First Class (preferred seating for two at a table-for-four - additional cost $15.00 per person plus tax [total of $32.40] and Coach (four guests seated together).  Full bar service is available but not included.

Reservations.
Advance reservations are required.  Payment is due when booking the reservation.  Visa and MasterCard accepted.  Reservations Requests may be made on-line but must be finalized with credit card information by telephone.  Click here to use our on-line Reservation Request Form.

Smoking/Non-Smoking.
For the comfort and safety of all passengers, The Newport Dinner Train is a non-smoking venue.  Smoking is not permitted on board the train.

Departure Location.
All departures are from 19 America's Cup Avenue in Newport unless otherwise specified.  Parking is available at the Depot on a first come, first serve basis.  The dinner excursion is approximately two and one-half hours in length while the luncheon excursions are approximately one and one-half hours .  Click here for directions to the Depot.

Departure Times.
Typical Departure times are as shown below; however, you should confirm your specific event's date and departure time:

Evening Departures @ 6:30 PM

Luncheon Departures @ 11:30 AM

Please arrive 1/2 hour before departure time to allow for boarding.

Dress Code.
Business casual - no shorts on dinner departures; no tank tops for gentlemen at any time please.

Gift Certificates.
Gift certificates make great...gifts!  Give to your friends, family, and co-workers.  Use for employee recognition programs, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.  Always in good taste Request gift certificates on-line with our easy-to-use request form.

Cancellation Policy.
Please notify our office at least 48 hours in advance of your reservation if you are not able to keep it.  A gift certificate of equal value would then be issued to you to be used at a time that is more convenient. There are no refunds or gift certificates for "no-shows".  Bearers of gift certificates must call as well or their gift certificate becomes null and void.  As seating for events is limited, we thank you for your understanding of this policy.
